Claire & Stephen Foster tie the knot at the Slieve Donard

Claire and Stephen’s wedding day at the Slieve Donard was absolutely overflowing with sunshine and bright, happy colours that looked incredible against the backdrop of the Mourne Mountains. We were so excited to design these bespoke wedding flowers because the couple chose to lead with vibrant sunflowers, which are always such a joyful choice for a coastal summer celebration. To balance out those bold yellow tones, we brought in soft peach roses, blue delphinium, and delicate pink lisianthus, all tied together with plenty of fresh eucalyptus foliage for a natural, wild texture. This bright palette looked particularly striking during their outdoor ceremony, where the floral arrangements on the registrar’s table framed the view of the sea perfectly. As a wedding florist in Northern Ireland, it is always a privilege to style events at such an iconic venue where the landscape really helps the colours of the flowers to pop. Inside the reception, the sunflowers continued to take centre stage on the guest tables and the three tier wedding cake, which featured elegant gold leaf detailing and fresh floral clusters. Everything about the day felt so personal and full of life, from the bridesmaids in their sage green dresses to the groom in his textured brown tweed suit.
