Nina & Cadan McLaughlin’s Special Day at Larchfield

ABOUT THE EVENT

Nina and Cadan’s celebration at Larchfield Estate was a perfect showcase for a colourful and whimsical wildflower aesthetic that felt right at home in such a rustic, garden setting. We went for a really joyful palette for the wedding flowers, mixing soft peach roses and lavender lisianthus with more unusual textures like bright orange safflowers and delicate daisies. The goal was to create arrangements that felt organic and gathered, so we incorporated plenty of eucalyptus and airy grasses to give the bouquets and displays a natural, flowing shape. For the outdoor ceremony, we used low meadow arrangements to line the aisle, which looked beautiful against the wooden chairs and the estate’s historic stone architecture. Inside the barn, these wilder tones provided a lovely contrast to the warm stone walls and fairy lights on the reception tables. It is always such a pleasure to be a wedding florist in Northern Ireland working at a venue like Larchfield where the gardens and buildings allow these kinds of bespoke floral designs to really come to life. We even added a trailing floral piece to the cake, which sat perfectly on a rustic barrel in the courtyard.
